Welcome to my kitchen! I hope you enjoy my scratch cooking prepared from fresh, local (when available) ingredients.

I love to cook for friends and family. My cooking is straightforward and uncomplicated, and the recipes here are meant to be tried and cooked with ease on both busy weeknights and leisurely weekends.

My kitchen is garlic-free. About 7-8 years ago, I developed an intolerance to garlic. I do not have a true garlic allergy, but eating garlic is very hard on my digestive system. I do not cook or eat any form of garlic, and I can tolerate very few alliums, in general. I can eat a well-cooked onion, but that’s about it. Do not mourn the lack of garlic, scallions or raw onions in my cooking, though. The liberal use of these alliums in so much of American cooking hides the natural flavor of foods, in my opinion, rather than enhancing flavor. With a very limited use of onions and no garlic at all, I think my cooking lifts up the natural flavor of foods. I hope you like my garlic-free cuisine as much as I do!
